With my fibromyalgia currently in "remission", these are the products that I can recommend based on my experience over the past 8 years:

bulletGuaifenesin - The Guaifenesin Protocol, developed by Dr. R. Paul St. Amand, MD, is what I used to reverse my fibromyalgia.   Guaifenesin is available over-the-counter at all drug stores and supermarkets, as well as through several internet sites.   Both the long-acting formulation and the short-acting type of guaifenesin work.  Short acting is less expensive, but may require higher dosages.   "Mucinex" brand by Adams Laboratories is currently the only combination long-acting and short-acting tablet.   The cheapest source would be the pure guaifenesin powder (short-acting) which can be purchased from www.fludan.com in Canada, and stuffed into gel capsules by hand.  Short-acting guaifenesin must be taken every 8 hours instead of every 12 hours like the long-acting.  [Note:  Although I no longer take guaifenesin, my fibromyalgia has remained in remission.  I am sure that the dietary and supplement changes I have made in the past two years have permitted me to remain healthy and disease-free.  I have also enjoyed using products containing salicylates with no return of symptoms!]
bulletIodoral - Since starting Iodoral in May, 2007, both my hypothyroidism and hypoglycemia have remarkably improved.   We now believe that iodine deficiency is the root cause of many modern diseases, including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.   Only additional research---now being done by several doctors---will tell us for sure, but members of our group have had very promising results so far with the iodine protocol.
bulletProbiotics - After falling and breaking my ankle and foot, I drank Kefir, a fermented milk drink, to help heal my bones.  I received two bonuses from doing so:  1)  My high cholesterol plummeted over 100 points and 2) My remaining fibromyalgia symptoms dramatically improved.  Probiotics can be taken as food (unpasteurized yogurt, kefir, cultured vegetables) or as supplements (Threelac, Nature's Way Primadophilus, Natren's Trenev Trio, Pilsung Probiotics, and other good brands).  Keep all probiotics refrigerated to ensure the potency of the live bacteria.
bulletMangosteen Juice - Three years into the guaifenesin protocol I discovered Mangosteen Juice and, almost overnight I went from feeling "pretty good" to feeling "great".  Mangosteen (which is anti-viral and anti-fungal) is not cheap, but I feel it is well worth the price. It has done wonders for my immune system, eliminated my bruising problem, cured my foot and toenail fungus, increased my muscle strength, and improved my gums.   [Note:  Since beginning Iodoral, I have been able to stop taking Mangosteen Juice with no return of previous fungal infections.  Iodoral is also anti-viral and anti-fungal.]
bulletMagnesium - I was constipated for 40 years---no exaggeration!   Dr. St. Amand recommended 400 mg. of Magnesium Oxide, morning and night.   I use Twinlab brand (ordered on-line at www.doctorstrust.com ) because it contains no salicylates or sugars.  Other types of magnesium will also work, but may be more expensive.   Magnesium Chelate is best absorbed and is recommended for migraine headaches.   You can adjust the dosage, using more or less based on your particular needs.   [Note:  Magnesium supplements are recommended with most fibromyalgia treatment programs.   Magnesium has a relaxing effect on muscles which is most helpful in achieving restful sleep.]
bulletEmu Oil - This is a wonderful product, recommended by the Vulvar Pain Foundation (see www.wildroseemu.net/vp.html ) for relief from vulvar pain, interstitial cystitis, and painful intercourse.   I order mine from Wild Rose Emu Ranch.   Although this oil seems expensive, a tiny bottle lasts a very long time!
